PROUD SUPPORTERS OF MAUREEN JOSH
Carla Bender, Logan County Circuit Court Clerk
Service...the meaning of that word is personified in one of DeKalb County's elected officials, Maureen Josh. As a former teacher, active community volunteer and outstanding county official, Maureen has devoted her career and lived her life in service to others. I have known Maureen for over fifteen years as a colleague and a friend. Through those years I have come to know a woman of integrity, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a person of strong moral and ethical character. I congratulate the people of DeKalb County for electing an exemplary public servant. It is said that the best and most effective leaders are those who lead by example. Maureen Josh is one of the finest examples that I know of, in her career and in her personal life. I am proud to call her a friend.
Bruce and Joan Bickner
Maureen Josh is a friend and neighbor, known to us for her integrity, compassion for those in need, conviction to get things done, and passion for a life of public service and significance; with more than a touch of humor and quick wit thrown in.
Emily Bilot
I became very personally involved in the political process as a college student working in local as well as state and national campaigns. It was a very satisfying and important part of my life and one that I remain committed to today. I feel that I was inspired to that calling because of the inspiration of Maureen Josh. She has taught me by example how important it is to be a part of the process and how rewarding it is serve the public. She is a dedicated public servant and the kind of individual that I have admired and seek to emulate. The citizens of DeKalb County are fortunate to have such a capable and competent elected official and I encourage all to vote and especially to vote for Maureen Josh.
Erin Bilot
Maureen has always shown a passion for her job that is unmatched. Her committee appointments and involvement in government activities throughout the state of Illinois show her dedication to making a difference and also highlight the respect she has garnered from her peers. There is no one more qualified to be the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk than Maureen Josh.
Patty Bilot
Maureen Josh is exactly the type of person we want in public office - honest, compassionate and knowledgeable. She is committed to public service and inspires those around her with her vision. Maureen is a stong leader as well as a tireless worker. I am grateful that she has chosen to dedicate herself to the community and encourage all voters to allow her to continue her successful work by voting for Maureen Josh this November.
John Birkett
Maureen Josh has integrity, leadership, initiative, ideas and is highly respected.
Michelle Bohlig
I have known Maureen Josh for over 24 years. One of the many things I appreciate about Maureen and her family is their ties to the community. I have seen Maureen and her family participate wholeheartedly in many causes to benefit DeKalb County and it's citizens. I feel fortunate to have such a high quality person involved in our local government.
Chris Brady
Having known Maureen Josh for over twenty five years there are three words that come to mind in describing her: integrity, compassion and leader.
She is true to her family and profession, has always shown a passion in educating and informing the members of our community, and believes that her leadership will benefit many. In her roles as a leader she is aware of those things that are in the best interest all and provides direction while recognizing and promoting the talents of those around her.

As practicing attorneys, we normally do not write publicly to share our support for a particular political candidate. This year is an exception and we write today to express our support for the incumbent circuit clerk, Maureen Josh. For many years, at least several times a week, one of us has witnessed Maureen doing her job at the courthouse. We know her qualifications well and thus speak from experience.
Among her many positive attributes, Maureen's unique skill in administering the circuit clerk's office is something that the citizens of DeKalb County are lucky to be able to take for granted. When we deal with circuit clerk's offices in other counties around the state, we occasionally encounter a dramatic contrast, which reminds us of our incumbent's value to our county. Maureen Josh does not sit in her office. Rather, we consistently see her engaged in discussions with judges, attorneys and members of the public; all in an effort to be pro-active in addressing the issues of the moment to the satisfaction of all. In fact, her strong interpersonal skills have been a linchpin to allow those judges, lawyers and citizens to interact smoothly with one another in the occasionally pressurized courthouse environment. Maureen's personal interest in assuring this seamless interaction makes our county's court system stand out from the rest.
We believe that much of Maureen's good work goes unnoticed by the community and we are happy to share our "insider" knowledge of her excellent skills. We therefore write to urge others to join us in voting for Maureen Josh as the Republican candidate for DeKalb County Circuit Clerk in the Nov. 4 election.
Lisa Crutcher, M.D.
I first met Maureen Josh 23 years ago, and have known her to be a kind, hard working, and conscientious person. In both good times and during hardships, Maureen displays a strength and conviction that truly inspires me. She has always worked for the best interests of the community and county. I can think of no one I would support more, and urge others to do the same by casting their vote for Maureen Josh in her bid for re-election as Circuit Clerk for Dekalb County.
Sue & Bob Danforth
Having known Maureen for over 40 years, we can testify that she is an assest to any organization. She is dedicated to her family, her community and its voters.
Jeri Delaney
I support Maureen Josh for reelection for DeKalb County Circuit Clerk. The many years of loyalty, dedication and outstanding performance to the people of DeKalb County as Circuit Clerk are some of the reasons that I truly believe that she is the best person for this job.
I have seen first hand how she doesn't leave her position at the Courthouse when her business day ends. My husband was at Vencor some years ago. Maureen stopped to see him one evening after work, I introduced her to a nurse's aide who was in the room. When the girl learned that she was talking to the Circuit Clerk, she told Maureen that she was having a problem with her child support. Maureen gave her a business card and told her to call the Courthouse the next morning. When the aide came in the next day her problem was solved. This is the person I want to represent me, one that is accessible to all the people of DeKalb County and not only during business hours.
There is an old saying, "If it's not broken don't fix it" and it certainly is not broken! I know that she is the best candidate for this position.
Doug Drives
Maureen Josh has my full support as she seeks reelection for the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk. I have had the pleasure of knowing Maureen for over 30 years as an extended family member, a friend and a confidant. During that time I have been particularly impressed with her spirit, her capacity to possess tireless energy, her inspiring attitude and her commitment to excellence. She is devoted to her loving family, develops strong and lasting relationships and is selflessly driven to helping others. These attributes have made her a winner in every facet of her life. As such, I can well imagine how her constituents have benefited from her role as an advocate of her community, her achievements and the numerous committees that have benefited from her chairmanship and/or membership.
Long ago I learned to pay less attention to what people say and put more time in just watching what they do. In that regard, I hope to persuade you of one thing: Maureen is a person with proven talents that I know, admire and trust--take the time to support her and be assured that she will serve you in the manner you deserve. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share my thoughts.
Jason and Jelene Fahrlander
I have had the pleasure of knowing Maureen for several years. I can tell you that she is dedicated to her family, and community.

I am a parapelegic from the Vietnam War living in Sycamore since I was 3 years old. I have three children and found that after my youngest child went to school, I had "empty nest syndrom." My wife and I called many businesses to see if we could find something for me to do. No one needed me or could use me, even on a volunteer basis. Then my wife thought of Maureen Josh, since they go to the same church. Maureen called me the next morning and asked me if I would like to come in for an interview. I was hired on the spot and started working the next day. I have been working now for her for 10 years. Maureen is a hard worker, trying to get everything done in a 24-hour day. She goes out of her way to help. I happened to get sick and ended up in the VA hospital in Maywood. I was in for many months and my family could not get any information from the doctors or hospital about my condition or when I would be released. Maureen took the day off and drove to Hines Hospital to be an advocate for us. She got things moving and organized and within a couple of weeks I was released from the hospital and back at home. Maureen goes above and beyond to get things done and done right. I am happy to say that she is my friend and I will be voting for her in November. I strongly recommend that you vote for her too.
Keith L. Foster,
Attorney at Law
I have known Maureen Josh for nearly 30 years in a professional capacity. Maureen served as office manager for the state's attorney's office and I had the pleasure of serving as an assistant state's attorney in that office. Shortly thereafter, Maureen was elected the circuit clerk of DeKalb County and I have personally interacted with Maureen and members of her staff on a frequent basis during my entire legal career. My practice has taken me to federal courts, courts in other states, courts in many of the other counties in the state of Illinois and I can attest that the level of "customer service" in the circuit clerk's office under Maureen Josh's leadership is second to none. Indeed, Maureen's reputation precedes her in many areas around the state of Illinois because she is held in such high regard by her peers through her involvement with the Circuit Clerk's Association.
The people of DeKalb County are truly fortunate to have Maureen Josh as their circuit clerk. The smooth and efficient administration of justice in this county is, in no small measure, the result of Maureen's coordination of efforts with the judges and other offices that are a necessary part of the justice system. She demands excellence from her staff and serves as a model public servant and is an excellent administrator.
It is my distinct pleasure to support Maureen Josh in her bid for re-election to the position of circuit clerk and I would urge everyone to vote for Maureen on election day.
Michael D. Guerin
While I am proud of each of my six younger sisters, Maureen Josh is the one asking for your support for re-election as DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court.
Normally, lawyers from Milwaukee, Wisconsin might have little exposure to the DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court’s office. I did, however, recently conclude my service as President of the Wisconsin State Bar Association. In that capacity, I was invited to attend many events throughout Illinois as well as in my home state of Wisconsin.
In meeting with Illinois officials, I was always pleased to hear their kind comments when I mentioned that my sister was the DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court. They, as well as I, recognize the serious responsibilities of her position, from ensuring that delinquent fathers meet their child support payments so that the taxpayers do not have an additional burden to making certain that the courts are properly staffed and records efficiently maintained.
Under Maureen’s direction, the DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court’s office has fulfilled all of its duties in a manner that has earned her the respect of clerks and public officials statewide. Notably, commendations about the office always mention how friendly and open the entire staff is. The DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court’s office truly exists to serve the public.
The efficiency and friendliness of the office staff is not surprising considering Maureen’s work ethic and compassion. She is not a child of privilege. She worked her way through high school and college. She and her husband faced the tough economic hardships that confronted the farming communities of Illinois in the 1970s and 1980s. Maureen and her four children and now 10 grandchildren continue to be hard-working and contributing citizens of DeKalb County.
It is my opinion that Maureen Josh has earned another term as DeKalb County Clerk of Circuit Court and I ask for your support as well.
Carol Hemmerich
I support Maureen Josh as Circuit Clerk.
She is a caring person who has raised with her husband, 4 wonderful children.
I would like to see Maureen continue her work as Circuit Clerk today and as many years as she chooses.
She has been good to the people of Dekalb County since 1984.
Maureen Josh for Circuit clerk!
Joel Kagann, Circuit Court Clerk Emeritus of DuPage County; Executive Director, Northeast Illinois Circuit Clerks Assn.
I have been acquainted with Maureen since her election as DeKalb County
Circuit Clerk in 1984. She was a mentor to me when I was elected as Clerk in
DuPage County. Since she was elected from a small county in comparison to
DuPage, I was amazed of her knowledge in the latest development in computer
technology. We worked together on many statewide projects that were a
benefit to clerks offices thought-out the State of Illinois. Her efforts led
to the re-establishment of the advisory committee to the Administrative
Offices of the Illinois Courts. She has been a leader in the Northeast
Illinois Circuit Clerks Association serving as its Chairperson since 1991.
The Association is the spokesperson for the 13 northern counties in Illinois
on matters concerning legislation and rules with the General Assembly,
A.O.I.C. and the Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court. I would not
hesitate to vote for her if I lived in DeKalb County. She has served the
citizens of DeKalb County well and I know that she will continue to do so
when she is elected in November.
Chris Kachiroubas, Circuit Clerk of DuPage
'Creditable, Devoted, Respectable, Worthy are all words describing Maureen Josh, Clerk of the Circuit Court of DeKalb County. The citizens of DeKalb have much to be proud of for electing Maureen as their Circuit Clerk. A leader in modernization and change in the court system who serves as co-chair to "CISTAC", the Clerks Information Systems Technology Advisory Committee, and to "CTG", the Clerks Technology Committee. Preservation, security, accessibility are mainstream responsibilities that Maureen has proven as a Circuit Court Clerk for many years. As a fellow Clerk in the State of Illinois, one must envy the people of DeKalb County whom are fortunate to have the Honorable Maureen Josh as their Circuit Clerk.'
Kerry Kelly
Maureen Josh is my dear childhood friend and over all these years I
have observed the following enduring qualities that highly recommend
her for a seventh term return to the office of DeKalb County Circuit
Clerk.
She has a natural affinity for working with and bringing people
together to work for common cause.
Maureen is honest, forthright in communication, always inquisitive
and open to new ideas.
She has an epic level of energy. During her first term of office as
Circuit Clerk, her major accomplishment was to successfully overhaul
and computerize the DeKalb County Courts record system. With a
continuing pattern of innovation established within the Circuit Clerk
office, Maureen has also assumed leadership roles within the
community and has obviously won the praise and respect of her peers
across DeKalb County and Illinois.
When asked why she decided to run for another term of office, she
simply answered, "Really, I just love my job." She has proven that
with the testimonial examples here of passion and commitment to those
she serves in the community.
Please vote to return Maureen Josh to the job of DeKalb County
Circuit Clerk this November.
Kathy Laing
It is with great enthusiasm that I write about Maureen Josh. I met Maureen through the AYSO program over 20 years and still remember feeling charmed by her amiability.
As Circuit Clerk of DeKalb County, I have no doubt that much of the efficiency at the Courthouse derives from her diligence and impassioned spirit. She always finds time to help those unfamiliar with the inner working of the courthouse to come away feeling satisfied. I cannot recall a time I left the courthouse without feeling as though I had received the fairest treatment possible. What's more, her door is always open. Anyone who has been the beneficiary of Maureen's hard work and bright insights will attest to the richness of her character.
Maureen is a caring, honest and hard working individual who has been a true asset to the DeKalb County Government system. We need her continued service.
Todd Madden
Maureen is still the same fantastic person now as she was 20 years ago when I met her. She is very dedicated to her job and to her family. When I see Maureen out in the community she is always smiling and friendly to everyone. She is a great asset to DeKalb County.
Garrett Malcolm
I have been practicing law for over twenty years. I believe that Maureen Josh is the most professional and competent Clerk of Court that I have ever worked with. In fact, Maureen is the ONLY clerk I have ever worked with. In most court systems, one never actually meets the Clerk because the staff does all of the work. While Maureen does have an incredible and talented staff, she is an active and visible leader in the daily administration of the courthouse herself. She is there and she cares. In today's world, Maureen's kind of dedication is a rare quality and the people of DeKalb County are lucky to have her.
Cheryl Maness
Vocational Instructor, Sycamore High School
I would like to publicly thank Maureen Josh, DeKalb County circuit clerk, for her willingness to provide Sycamore High School students with valuable work training skills over the time she has held office. Maureen has always been willing to partner with the high school to enhance the education our students receive.
Maureen has participated in the Interrelated Cooperative Education Program providing students jobs in all of the different divisions in her office. Students have gained transferable skills to other positions after graduating from high school. Some students continued working in the DeKalb County circuit clerk's office while attending local colleges as well.
At Sycamore High School, we are always happy to see our local employers providing training and employment for a viable workforce for the future of our community. I thank Maureen Josh for taking a leadership role and for being a partner with education.
Karen and Pat Manning
Maureen is GREAT at her job! She takes the time to be involved in many local and state organizations related to her job and community. She knows how to keep things running smoothly at the courthouse. Most important she is available and accessible if you have any problems or need information. We value her as an excellent circuit clerk, a great community member and friend.
Joyce Mathey

I am supporting Maureen in her pursuit of another term as Circuit Clerk because she is the most qualified person for the position.
Shirley R. McAdams
I have known Maureen Josh for many years and I think this community has been very lucky to have had her. She has been a hard-working, loyal, public servant. She is also always there for a charity or personal need of the community. I value my right to vote and am very glad I can use it to vote for her.

I am writing to support the candidacy of Maureen Josh for DeKalb County Circuit Clerk. I have great admiration both professionally and personally for Mrs. Josh. Not only is she a woman of outstanding character, but she reaches out to people in her community and I am lucky to count myself as one of those who has been touched by her generosity and warmth. Her involvement in our community is beyond question and the job she does as Circuit Clerk goes above and beyond the "requirements" of the position.
DeKalb County is lucky to have a professional woman who sets such high standards for herself and who serves as a role model for others. Maureen Josh deserves the support of all of the people of this county and I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy.
The Adolph Miller Family
No need for change!!! Maureen Josh always HAS and will continue to do an excellent job as our Circuit Clerk!
Peg Neisendorf
I met Maureen Josh 15 years ago and knew immediately that I had made a great friend. One year later I had the privilege of joining her staff as supervisor of the traffic and criminal division of the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk's office.
Her leadership ability has been a great asset to our county. Maureen's ability to juggle her duties as circuit clerk while thinking with her heart are reasons I am proud and honored to be a part of her staff. I strongly support Maureen in her re-election for DeKalb County Circuit Clerk.
Hon. John L. Nickels
Rarely does a county have the opportunity to be continuously served by such an outstanding elected official.
Maureen Josh brings a high level of professionalism and order to the Circuit Clerk's office. I have personally worked with Maureen in the courts. They are fortunate to have her. She justly deserves your vote. Re-elect Maureen Josh for Circuit Clerk.
With administration and respect,

We have known Maureen Josh and her family since they first became our neighbors 36 years ago. She was a very young Mother and new to our community. As her family quickly expanded and grew we watched her hone those same managements skills that today are so apparent in the operation of her office. We have seen her integrity, her loyalty, her determination and her no-nonsense common sense approach to every day challenges.
That she is eminently qualified to serve as Clerk of the Circuit Court for DeKalb County has already been amply demonstrated by her years in office. She knows the court system, she is well respected by her peers throughout the state of Illinois, she has the emotional stability and mature judgement needed for the position. And she knows how to cut thru the clutter and see clearly how to get the job done.
She has our support and we will again vote confidently for her on election day.
Sally O'Connor, PhD
I have known Maureen Josh for over 40 years. She is my friend but that
is not why I am endorsing her for Circuit Clerk of DeKalb County. During
all these years I have been impressed with Maureen's dedication to
achieving her goals and those goals have always been to serve other
people. Whenever Maureen and I get together for a visit, she takes the
initiative to find out how things are with me and with my family. And
this is what she does in her professional capacity as well. She inquires
about how to better serve her constituency and community as Circuit
Clerk. She has been successful in bettering the Court system and is the
best candidate to continue to do so. I urge you to cast your vote for
Maureen as Circuit Clerk for DeKalb County.
Richard Olson
Chief of Police, Sandwich
I issue this statement in complete support of Maureen Josh for our circuit clerk. During the time that Mrs. Josh has been at the helm of the clerk's office, I have witnessed a professional, courteous and progressive staff. As a supervisor myself, it is obvious that we are only as good and competent as the people who work with us. DeKalb County has been most fortunate to have Mrs. Josh as our clerk and even more privileged to be able to re-elect her for another term. All too often we fail to compliment our dedicated community servants; voting for Maureen Josh can be a way of thanking her for her dedication and commitment to DeKalb County!
Pat Passell
From the time we were in college together - some 40 years ago - Maureen's natural ability to connect with people has been exceptional. Which is why it is no surprise that personal service - getting an answer to a gritty problem, providing guidance through the court system, resolving a complicated issue quickly and efficiently - is the hallmark of the office that she has led since 1984. She has always been perceptive, fair, and honest, which makes her a valued friend, and an even stronger public servant. And as a devoted, enthusiastic, and hard-working Clerk of the Circuit Court, I know Maureen will serve the citizens of DeKalb County in the years to come with the integrity and personal touch she has demonstrated over the past 24 years.
Joel Peck
I have known Maureen Josh for 15 years and am proud to have my children call her grandma. While my relationship with Maureen has been on a personal level, I see her work on a daily basis. Because of our close relationship, I can attest to her abilities without question.
Maureen Josh is an amazing woman who works extremely hard as our circuit clerk. One thing about her I find amazing is her continued passion for her job. Very few people today are passionate about what they do for a living, and to see Maureen's passion every day after so many years on the job is truly remarkable. She is a progressive thinker who is constantly trying to better her office and the court system alike. She has worked very hard over the years to make everyone at the courthouse work seamlessly. Her work does not go unnoticed, as several other counties and the state of Illinois repeatedly refer to DeKalb County as having the most efficient Circuit Clerk's office in the state.
Another of Maureen's notable traits is her willingness to volunteer her efforts for a worthy cause. Few match Maureen's commitment to our community. Her belief is that our community is her extended family and she proves that regularly as she is a relentless volunteer to many great causes such as CASA, Volunteer Action Center, Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, the Sycamore School District, as well as numerous churches within our community, just to name a few.
Truth be told, Maureen Josh is the best person for circuit clerk. She has been for 24 years and will continue to be that same person for many years to come. She continues to be a friend and advocate to everyone she comes in contact with. Now it's your turn to be an advocate of hers. Please join our community in support of such an amazing woman and vote for Maureen Josh on Nov. 4.
Earl Peterson
To my fellow citizens of DeKalb County, I invite and encourage you to join me and many others in supporting and re-electing Maureen Josh as Circuit Clerk of this county. Until August of this year when I became First Assistant State's Attorney in Ogle County, I spent the last nine years as an assistant state's attorney in DeKalb County, working on a daily basis with the clerk's office lead by Mrs. Josh. The procedures and protocols she has in place made the logistical handling of the cases on the criminal docket a breeze. The people she put in place, in the courtroom and in the office, are the most helpful, most patient, and most understanding collection of people I have ever seen together-- qualities that serve the court-going public and attorneys very well. What did we require, you might ask. That all the files be in court for status calls and hearings, that all evidence submitted be logged and preserved properly, that court calls proceed quickly and orderly, that fines and costs and fees and restitution ordered in criminal cases be sorted, and payments and distributions be made in a timely fashion, and that all our extraordinary requests be met with a smile and a nod, an understanding that we're as harried as they are, and please bear with us. Mrs. Josh lead the way, putting in place a professional organization, and a personable one, a combination that makes the clerk's office in DeKalb County one that deserves to continue to serve the public and legal community. In an election year in which both major parties nationwide are waving the change flag, this is one office that I will proudly ask to stay on, by voting to re-elect Maureen Josh as Circuit Clerk.
Meghan Piazza
As a former employee of Maureen Josh I have firsthand knowledge of what a great job she does supporting her staff and the community. She offered me a chance for employment right out of high school when I had no clue which direction my life should take. She was also a great supporter seven years later when I had to leave her office to raise my family. Throughout my years working for her I saw complete dedication to her position as the Circuit Clerk. I stand behind Maureen Josh 100%!
Jenine Povlsen
I am pleased to have the opportunity to support Maureen Josh as DeKalb County Circuit Clerk. I have known Maureen personally and professionally for 29 years. While I agree that Maureen is a qualified, experienced and proven circuit clerk and administrator, I would like to add that she is a person who cares.
- She is a person who is committed to the duties and responsibility of this position.
- She has and continually holds herself to a high degree of accountability to the citizens she serves and to the taxpayers of our county.
- Maureen is responsible and responds to the ever-changing needs of her department, the courts and citizens of DeKalb County as noted by her experience and expertise in her field. Her efforts in the performance of her duties are recognized by her colleagues all across the state.
- Lastly, and perhaps the most important, I want an individual in office that not only possesses many of these traits, but one that has a true passion for service to the public, our communities and to the citizens she serves.
For me it's not about being a Republican or a Democrat – it is about electing a person who can and will continue to make a difference in the lives she and her department serves.
Lisa Rove-Williams
I have known Maureen Josh both personally and professionally for nearly 20 years. As an attorney, I have dealt regularly with Maureen and her staff, who have always assisted me in a helpful, knowledgeable and friendly manner. Out-of-town attorneys often comment that the clerk's office in our courthouse is exceptional.
Maureen is one of the most experienced circuit clerks in Illinois, and she also brings a great deal of enthusiasm and commitment to the position. She is an asset to the courthouse as well as the community.
Katie Scheuer
In this year of many political decisions, one easy one is voting for Maureen Josh for Circuit Clerk of DeKalb Court. Maureen is an extremely hard-working, dedicated public servant. She believes in giving her complete effort to the job and has assembled an efficient staff to implement the changes and improvements that have made the court run smoothly. Her continued guidance will help the system continue to function well for all of the citizens of our community. Let's retain Maureen as Circuit Clerk by voting this November.
Dee Schlagel
It is indeed an honor to write this recommendation on behalf of my friend and associate, Maureen Josh.
Maureen and I had the opportunity to serve together on the Board of Directors for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocacy) program here in DeKalb County. It was thru Maureen's diligent efforts that this program was introduced to our County.
Maureen Josh works tirelessly for our community in many ways and it is clearly evident that she is held in high esteem by all who know her.
DeKalb County is a better place because of Maureen Josh.
Karen Schmoll
I have personally known Maureen Josh for more than 20 years. Throughout those years, I have come to know her as a very honest, forthright, dedicated and ambitious person. These are the traits that I would definitely want in someone running the County Clerk's office. She has the experience and the ability to "get the job done"!
Alyson Shipley
Not only is Maureen a leader to the employees she hires, but she is also a friend. That is exactly how she treats the citizen's of DeKalb County, the people who walk through the front doors of the Courthouse, and anyone else she may meet. She is truly an asset to the people she serves, and personally sees to it that everyone is taken care of in a satisfying, courteous and personal manner. As an employee of Maureen's, I see first hand how much she cares about the lives and interests of others. We can all learn something from the passion she has to serve the people of DeKalb County in a way that matters, and that makes them know that they matter.
Integrity, honesty, and compassion are only a few of the words to describe Maureen's approach to the office she holds, and the life she lives. As an employee and friend to Maureen, and citizen of DeKalb County, I know there is NO ONE better to serve us all. Please join on November 4th in re-electing her as Circuit Clerk of DeKalb County.
Becky Springer
A few years ago, I gave birth to my daughter prematurely at Rockford Memorial Hospital, with her weighing 1 pound, 12 ounces, and only 13 inches long. My family gathered quickly during this trying time. My mother works for Maureen Josh, DeKalb County circuit clerk. When my daughter was two days old, Maureen came to the hospital with two large coolers filled with sandwiches, fruit, veggies, pop and water. Maureen brought these coolers to feed my family while we were camped out at the neo-natal intensive care unit. The support she shows her employees and their families is highly commendable.
The purpose of my letter is to show the citizens of DeKalb County the compassion Maureen has and that we, as citizens, are very lucky to have her working for us. Please join me in voting for Maureen Josh on Nov. 4.
Lucille Strack, Bailiff
I have known and worked with Maureen Josh for more than 25 years at the DeKalb County Courthouse. She is the most qualified candidate for the position of DeKalb County Circuit Clerk. She runs her office in an efficient manner with a highly professional staff. Please join me in supporting Maureen Josh on Nov. 4.
Cathy Sundly
Maureen Josh is a special lady in our community. We are proud of her accomplishments and the difference she has made in many peoples lives which I have experienced personally. She is someone we can always count on no matter how difficult the situation.
She has made the Circuit Clerk office what it is today and will take it to the next level in the future. She is a great advocate for DeKalb County and represents us well in state events that she attends.
If you've never met Maureen you are missing out - she is someone you want to know and someone you will never forget!
Jackie Thurnau
I have known Maureen Josh for more than 20 years. As a good friend of her oldest daughter, I have seen what a great mother and community member she is. Her sense of humor, commitment to her family, friends and the community are true testaments to her character and experience as the Circuit Clerk of Dekalb County.
Joe Turner
I have known Maureen Josh for 25 years, my whole life, and in those twenty-five years I have seen her work extremely hard to make DeKalb County a better place to live. She has done this by being active within the community and reaching out to the community's members addressing their needs and concerns. She is a very compassionate person who works hard everyday in order for DeKalb County to be a better place for all those who live here. Her knowledge and experience as Circuit Clerk enables her to get an immense amount of work done while still being accessible to the community's members.

During the lst several years, I have been involved with the Court System in DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Circuit Clerk's Office has been great. I've had the opportunity to meet Maureen Josh and am very impressed with her and her staff. The clerks are friendly and effiecient and the files and court record are well maintained.
It was nice to be back in DeKalb. I have many great menories of my years at N.I.U. and am proud of the N.I.U. community and their efforts to remain unified and stay strong during thesedifficult times.
Go Huskies and go Maureen Josh!!!

Maureen Josh is exactly the type of person we want and need in public office – honest, intelligient, knowledgeable and hard working. Under Maureen's leadership, the office of circuit clerk is a well-run, efficient, smooth working operation. She is always looking for ways to update the office and find how it can better serve the citizens of DeKalb County. Maureen is a person of high moral and ethical values which are exactly what we need in a person in her position. We are proud to call Maureen Josh our friend, our mentor, and our circuit clerk.
Chris Turok
I've known Maureen Josh for 20 years. We watched our daughters play soccer together and cooked countless pork chop sandwiches for the Sports Booster organization. Eight years ago I came to work for Maureen at the Circuit Clerks Office. I was impressed by the positive, up-beat office atmosphere and quickly learned Maureen's philosophy: "Treat EVERY person who comes through the door with respect and courteous personal service." Time and again I heard the comment: "This is such a friendly, helpful Clerk's Office. Sure wish every county operated this way."
Maureen is a leader in the true sense of the word. She hires high quality people and then gives them the tools to do their job well. She solicits advice when making difficult decisions, then works enthusiastically to implement the solution. But her greatest strength is in her dynamic personality. She has a wonderful sense of humor, is an impressive speaker and truly cares about the people around her. DeKalb County is fortunate to have her as their Circuit Clerk and I support her re-election campaign 100%.
Jan & Jeff Wilkens
The courthouse is the center of enormous political and civic procedures and we believe the best person to continue its day-to-day operations is Maureen Josh. We have a lot of faith not only in her experience, but in her integrity as well.
R. J. Young
In these times, Maureen Josh is that rare politician who actually follows through on campaign promises. For years, you, her constituents, have found her available and willing to serve, the very definition of a "public servant". She probably knows your family, and her family's values are your own. She is honest, consistent, and committed to serving your county. Maureen Josh has been there for you in the past, and she is your best choice for the future.
